Ludovic de Saint Sernin Joins Forces with Zara: A Bold New Era for High-Street Fashion

How do you go from an “overnight celebrity favorite” to a global fashion sensation? If you’re Ludovic de Saint Sernin, you get the call every emerging designer dreams of the one from Zara.

Fresh off a stream of daring red carpet moments with stars like Anya Taylor-Joy, Mia Goth, Laura Harrier, and Ella Hunt wearing his jaw-dropping fall 2024 pieces the French designer is now stepping into the mainstream, teaming up with the world’s biggest high-street retailer. Yes, Ludovic de Saint Sernin x Zara has arrived.

The Collaboration That’s About to Shake Up Your Closet mid

Known for his signature mix of sexy, fluid, and fiercely gender-nonconforming pieces including lace-up leather, crystal chainmail, sheer silhouettes, and metal breastplates de Saint Sernin has created a collection that carries his distinct DNA, but in a more accessible way.

His Zara line features clothing, shoes, and accessories that pay homage to his originals, but with a twist: iconic eyelets have been swapped out for slick flat studs, maintaining the brand’s edge while making the designs more wearable for everyday fashion lovers.

And even though Ludovic first entered the fashion scene as a menswear designer back in 2017, that label didn’t stick for long. His work transcends categories, calling to anyone who’s ever wanted to break the mold and wear something that feels as bold as their spirit.

From Haute Couture to High Street In One Season mid

Believe it or not, this collaboration comes at the same time de Saint Sernin has been working on a haute couture collection for Jean Paul Gaultier yes, that Jean Paul Gaultier. One collection is for a rarefied few. The other? For everyone. That contrast wasn’t lost on him.

“On one hand, I was designing something for a happy few. On the other, I get to reach audiences all over the world,” he said. “I want my work to be seen, worn, and loved not just admired from afar.”

According to de Saint Sernin, part of the reason Zara selected him is because he represents something new a young, queer designer whose work carries a message and a look. His community isn’t defined by demographics, but by mindset: those who crave individuality, fluidity, and unapologetic self-expression.

The Campaign That Hits Close to Home

Shot in New York City, a place close to his heart, the campaign stars two of the industry’s current “it girls” Alex Consani and Amelia Gray. The shoot was also a deeply personal moment for Ludovic he brought his mother to the set.

“She sat with us for two days. She even tried on the clothes and said, ‘I can finally wear LdSS.’ That’s the whole point fashion for everyone.”

Where to Shop: Ludovic de Saint Sernin x Zara

The collection will be available from November 17, 2026, on Zara.com and in select stores worldwide. Prices will range from $25.90 to $1,399, meaning you can snag a piece of the action whether you’re looking for a statement piece or just dipping a toe into his world.
