Regarding Motherhood, Modeling, and the Unspoken Language of Style, Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber

Witnessing a mother and daughter share a world, not just a bond, is a sight to behold. For Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber, that universe coincidentally consists of runways spanning Milan, Paris, and New York, high fashion, and camera flashes. Beyond the high-end dresses and magazine covers, however, is something much more personal—a silent, unwavering intimacy that seems both classic and incredibly contemporary.

The famous supermodel and her equally beautiful daughter are talking about what it means to grow, work, and laugh together—not just as family, but as other women navigating the fashion industry and everything else—as Mother's Day approaches.

The Dance of Co-Modeling

In a field that values youth, image, and reinvention, working together as mother and daughter is not always easy, but it is also very fulfilling. According to Cindy, "there is an unsaid rhythm." "We just get each other on set; we do not need to say anything."

Kaia concurs. "Knowing she is close by is reassuring, particularly in the beginning when everything seemed so unfamiliar and frightening." Even while she still contacts her mother before every significant photo assignment, Kaia has forged her own career with campaigns, covers, and catwalks under her belt.

Even though they have walked the same shows and co-starred in Omega advertising campaigns, the little things—like getting ready together, exchanging old belts or mascara—feel the most memorable.

Generations, Style, and the Important Things

Although Kaia and Cindy have different personal styles—Kaia

mid

leans toward Gen Z minimalism, while Cindy exudes the understated strength of '90s glam—there are certain similarities between them, such as strong eyebrows, clean denim, and comfortable clothing.

They believe that style is more about memories than it is about trends. Cindy remarks, "Kaia is wearing a blouse that I wore in my twenties." “It still smells like my old perfume.

It is a full-circle kind of thing to see her in it.

For Kaia, it is about respecting her heritage. "My mother taught me how to feel good about myself, but she never gave me fashion advice."

Mother's Day: Taking a Moment to Slow Down

What plans do two women with incredibly hectic schedules have for Mother's Day? They both say quietly. A lengthy breakfast, perhaps.

a stroll on the shore close to their Malibu residence. No cosmetics. No cameras. Timely.

According to Kaia, "we spend so much of our lives being on." "Mother's Day is about taking a vacation. It is about rest as well as thankfulness.

Cindy gives a nod. Being together without having to do anything is the goal. That is what makes motherhood so wonderful. Being is sufficient.

Because love is ultimately what matters, whether you are
